Kuromi Love - My Latest Passion - Awe!!!

I just adore this little character! I have a cushion on my Christmas wish list, lol. I really loved making these, the ATCs are front folding and the inside is decorated too. One is aperture and the other a kind of "gate" fold with a full size Kuromi peeking out at you. Love them!! I made them for a special friend but I think Im going to have to make a couple for myself, lol.

Hello Kitty Fans

These 3 ATCs are for all the Hello Kitty fans among us! I changed them up with different folds and layouts.

Random ATCs

These are a random bunch. I was playing around with images and layouts.

Hoodoo-Voodoo

These two were alot of fun, I just love the cute - weird factor, lol. Its not everyones cup of tea but I just adore them!!

Animal Antics

These were so much fun to do, stamping & masking create really wonderful effects. The frogs are an ode to the "Frog Song", do you remember that one! "Bom, bom,bom - ayia!! Side by side, hand in hand - we all stand together", lol.

Hand drawn No 4

I really like this one, I call it Faery Lullaby, lol. I use polychromos pencils to colour them and an ink pen to draw. Cool!!

Goth Girl - ATC No3

Well, what can I say, shes the third of the hand drawn set. I really enjoyed doing this one - its a bit quirky!!

Hand drawn ATC No2

Challenged!!!! This kinda just grew on its own. Dont know where she came from but hey, here she is!!!

Hand drawn ATC

I decided to do some hand drawn ATCs. This is the first. Its a bit of a challenge as the area is so small and I tend to draw BIG but I think there kinda funky, lol.

EARTH - My First Painting on Canvas

This is my first painting on canvas. Ive only ever used paper before which doesnt sound like its much of a difference but it is. I dont usually do people either. Ive always strayed away from doing them as its one thing I really do struggle with. Actually its faces I struggle with, noses in particular. Anyway - I plucked up my courage and gave it a go! Its a shame as the picture looks a bit washed out on here but the actual painting is a bit more vibrant in REAL life. Hope you like it. Im fairly pleased with her.........Raven

Flyer

Its been a while snce I used feather and glitter, so this little chap gave me a good excuse. I coated the moon in glaze and while it was still wet, sprinkled a bit of Kirsten Lapping 'Enchanted Dust' glitter into it. I loved the end result. Theres a slight domed effect that twinkles in the light. I made him for a swap but I like him so much I think Im going to have to make another one for me to keep!!!! lol raven

Rosalie's Melody

Heres another gypsy for you. I like to tinker around with the images a bit and she is part of a larger picture but I think she works well on her own too. Ive been dying to use these little music notes for ages and I finally got the chance with this ATC.

Gaia

This is another ATC from the Goddess collection I have been working on. The leaves are punched and placed behind the main image. I tend to use a craft knife for all my cut work but I know that some are more comfortable with decoupage snips for those tricky areas.

The Morrigan

This is an ATC I made as part of a set for a special friend. There are 8 in the series all dipicting different goddesses. "Woman Power" at its finest! All though you cant see from the photo the figure has been glazed to make her stand out from the background. I think I must be on a collage phase because Im doing alot of this style at the minute. lol raven

Yes I was working on a theme! This time with the very lovely glitter card. OooH! I just love the stuff and the midnight blue really works a treat here. What do you think, lol Raven

Gypsy Citrus

This ATC has been watercoloured, glazed and a touch of glitter added with a sakura pen. Hope the receipient likes her.

Gypsy Burgandy ATC

This is my first attempt at a collage style ATC. I made it for a dear friend who herself is an incredible artist. Just hope she likes it. Ive used a printed graphic, a flower embelishment and a touch of lace for the romantic in me, lol Raven

Mermaids Purse ATC

This ATC was made for a dear Bubble friend. You'll know its you when it arrives ha ha! Ive stitched the boarder with golden seed beads to give it an extra lift. Some may think the image a bit creepy, weird even but I like it, it draws your attention as at first, unless you read the title - you dont notice that its a mermaid!! What do you think? lol raven

For My Super Talented Friend

I made these ATC's for a very talented and absolutely wonderful friend. Steph you amaze me and I hope you like these when they get to you. The top one is Twighlight themed, just for Steph, its been feathered around the edges and embellishments added. The mermaid has been coloured with watercolours and polychromos pencils to give her tail a beautiful shine. The Faraway Tree is a definate 'Ode to Steph' as you gave me the reciepe, so thankyou, lol raven

Goddess Card & Bookmark

I made this matching card and bookmark for a dear friend as a thanks for her giving her time voluntarily to tutor me. She is both inspirational and her discussions are completely engaging. She really knows her stuff. I know that she reads alot as her knowledge of texts is superb, so I made the bookmark. I hope that she gets alot of usage out of it. Thanks Fae, your an absolute star and have in the short time we've known one another become a true friend, lol raven

Squigglefly 'Hummingbird' - Challenge #2

Mermaid Card - 23rd May

I made this card by first water marking the base card with a simple pattern stamp. Then added the ribbon and matted and layered the striped paper and adhered it to the card. I added the embellishments and finally matted and layered the image once I had coloured her with inks. I know that you cant tell by the picture but I used a clear star sakura pen to add shimmer to her skin so that she looks as though she has just left the water. Hope you like my water born maiden, lol raven

Hosted Mermaid Swap

Its a mermaid theme for a hosted swap. I love them personally. Myth and magic. Ive used a combination of watercolours and ink on these watery ATC's. Hope you like them, lol raven

Its A Family Affair

This card has an acetate fromt with a circular apeture. The image itself is stamped. Each of the elements within the image are seperate stamps and Ive used a masking technique to gradually build the scene. Then the whole image was watercoloured and mounted using usual matting and layering techniques and attached using matching brads. I love this one as Ive created a 'family portrait' style image from individual character stamps.
A set of ATC's made for fun. They are stamped images that I have watercoloured. A fellow bubbler has adopted these funny fellows now.

Bunny Love

Heres a summery bunny card and matching gift card I made. I stamped the bunnies first, then watercolours them and adhered them to the card. I love the contrast of the greens and purples and the buttons just to add that little extra.

Salt Dough Dragon

This is my sleeping dragon ATC. He's made from salt dough and handpainted. The receipe is quite simple and was given to me by a friend who I must thank. My son has made his own creations with this receipe, so that tells you how easy they are to make. My dragons wings are made from parchment which has been coloured on the reverse side and his eye is of course a gem stone for that added bit of magical bling!!! Hope you like him,

lol Raven

Dark lady, made for bubble member

I made this ATC for another Bubbler today. She also likes the gothic theme. Im the founder of the ATC TRADING POST on the CraftBubble site, so I have alot of trades going on right now and alot of ATC's to make. Busy, busy-but I love it!!!!

Pentogram atc, made for Bubble member

I made this today for a bubble member whos a friend of mine and a member of the gothic fantasy group. Well wishes to you, you know who you are, Blessed Be!

ATC'S traded to group Trading Post members

Here are to ATC's I made for specific group members. They are quite sweet really, just like the people they were made for. Hi and well wishes to all my friends xx

Tuesday, 5 May 2009

One of my more gothic inspired ATC's. I have alot of them in my collection and there seems to more and more followers of this kind of theme. Spent a while on the beading. Im quite into that at the minute. I went out and bought some more beads today.

Ooooooh-Arrrgh!

One for the boys. Pirates are always popular. I think we all just love the legends and sea stories really.

A Card & Tag In One

I decided that there was more than one use for an old CD, I turned it into this. Its a card, tag, keepsake all wrapped into one.

Ice Queen on Acetate

A bit of fun with acetate can produce some very nice surprises.

Gingham Bunnies

Something a little different, kinda cute, kinda girly but everyone loves these adorable cutties. I used to have fabric bunnies very similar to these when I was a little girl.

Acetate Jungle 1st Birthday Card

This card has 4 layers and on each page there a different jungle critter hiding behind the foliage. Great for little explorers.

Floral decoupage gift tag:Annas Challenge

I created this tag for a forum challenge. Its about 7 layers and glazed. I think the glaze adds a little somthing special.

Inspired By True Talent

VICTORIA FRANCES-an incredible artist
I just love the images that this artist produced. I find them intense and provocative of emotion and thought. Does anyone have any of the published books. I have one on my wish list for my Birthday. This lady's work really does convey talent. Her work in gothic art is inspired. I hope that other fans of this artists work get in touch and share their thoughts.
